Giorgio Biasiol
Head of the HMMBE lab, CNR-IOMDr. Giorgio Biasiol leads the High Mobility Molecular Beam Epitaxy (HMMBE) group at the Istituto Officina dei Materiali (IOM), Trieste, Italy. Their group is to the development and characterization of high purity III/V semiconductors grown by MBE.
Recently, they successfully grown high mobility InAs/ GaAs 2DEGs coupled to epitaxially grown Aluminium. These are the first such hybrid 2DEGs grown in the EU and will be further optimized and provided to members of the consortium to realize Kitaev chains and Kitmon devices.
